Unfortunately, a bootleg of the JVS-PAC has surfaced, the JVstrike, made by Jochen Zurborg of arcadeforge.de, also known as bencao74 on several forums. This board is/was also sold at the German arcadeshop.de and directly from arcadeforge.de.
This is an unauthorized copy of the board that uses the firmware I develop for the JVS-PAC, which Jochen himself admitted to when asked directly. I could have published the emails, but there really is no dispute on this fact. His rationale was that he thought the project was dead, but as I told him - he could just have asked prior to making the JVStrike.
Jochen told me in an email that he would pull the product, but after several months he has failed to do so, and has also stopped replying to my e-mails.
The fact that Jochen after several requests still continues the sale and manufacture of the JVStrike saddens me, especially when taking into account that the community for arcade enthusiasts is so small.
Needless to say, I am not able to offer any support to JVStrike owners.
